Clubhouse 56, the East Sacramento sports bar and restaurant known for its fresh, chef-driven food and serious sports coverage, is expanding to a second location inside WildHawk Golf Club at 7713 Vineyard Road in south Sacramento. Co-owner Lisa Petersen-Scoto confirmed to What Now Sacramento that the new location plans to reopen in mid-August as the team takes over the clubhouse restaurant from the previous operator. A liquor license filed under the name Clubhouse 56 @ WildHawk by TLC Legacy LLC with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control confirms the transition is actively underway.
The move brings one of Sacramento’s best sports-bar concepts to a course that has been a community staple since its opening in 1998. WildHawk has long been considered one of the Sacramento area’s top public golf destinations, featuring an 18-hole championship layout with water features, four sets of tees, and a clubhouse patio with sweeping views of the 9th and 18th holes. The previous WildHawk Grille served golfers and locals for years, but the arrival of Clubhouse 56 signals a meaningful upgrade in the dining and bar experience the course will offer.
At its home base on 56th Street, Clubhouse 56 built its reputation by doing something most sports bars don’t: taking food seriously. The menu features scratch-made dishes from Sacramento chefs, a full bar, happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 pm, and enough screens to never miss a game. That philosophy, transplanted to a golf course with a patio overlooking the fairway, could make Clubhouse 56 @ WildHawk something genuinely special for the south Sacramento golf community.
