After more than two decades in Georgetown, Pizzeria Paradiso will close later this month. Its final day of service is Sunday, July 26, 2026. The eatery will also host an open-door farewell celebration to mark its last day.
Pizzeria Paradiso Will Bid Farewell with Celebrations
Pizzeria Paradiso is a longtime Georgetown favorite at 3282 M Street NW and serves Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas in a fast-casual setting. The restaurant features a family-friendly space and a lower-level game room bar with a variety of pub games.
Founder Ruth Gresser and managing partner Carlos Delgado Gonzalez announced the Georgetown location will permanently close on July 26.
The restaurant will also host an open-door farewell celebration and give free slices and salads on its last service day. Complimentary food will be available while supplies last. The owners will also raise a farewell toast with guests.
The restaurant built a strong following with its signature made-from-scratch dough, fresh cheese, and premium meat and vegetable pizzas. Beyond its pizzas, the menu includes garlic knots, chicken wings, and a curated selection of craft beers. Recommended items on the menu include margherita pizza, July pizza, and special pizza.
The team behind the restaurant reflected on its journey in the community and said, “Since opening in 2002, this location has served as a true Georgetown anchor. We have so much to be proud of as we look back on nearly a quarter-century of memories.”

Upcoming Chapter in Virginia
While the Georgetown location is closing, the Pizzeria Paradiso brand will continue to expand. In the closure announcement post, the team announced a new opening for the restaurant soon.
“It’s also a celebration story: the celebration of a brand that continues to grow, with new Virginia locations and a future that honors everything Georgetown built,” stated the team.
The Pizzeria Paradiso team hopes to celebrate this last week of its Georgetown chapter with the community.
