Myungin Dumplings is set to open another location in the Las Vegas Valley. The California-based eatery is planning a Chinatown location. The Myungin Dumplings is expected to open at 3650 S Jones Blvd, Ste 6 & 7 in Kangnam Square, according to a Clark County permit.
What Now Las Vegas briefly chatted with Myungin Dumplings founder, Yu Jin, who confirmed the opening. Unfortunately, Yu Jin was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
Jin founded Myungin Dumplings in Los Angeles in 2007. The brand specializes in handmade, Korean-style mandu. The restaurant gained mainstream fame after a 2013 feature on Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. Today, Myungin Dumplings operates four locations across Southern California, including in Koreatown and Northridge.
Apparently, the upcoming opening is not the first in Las Vegas for the brand. Myungin Dumplings & Mexican Authentic Grill, located inside a 76 gas station on S Rainbow Boulevard, operated from early 2023 until late 2024. The fusion spot abruptly and permanently closed in October 2024. It was famous for serving massive, softball-sized Korean king dumplings (wang-mandu) alongside large, fusion Mexican burritos.
Now focusing only on the mandu part of the menu, the new Myungin Dumplings is expected to open in Chinatown sometime this year. No word just yet on when exactly, as there is no specific website or social media page for the upcoming Las Vegas location. So, it’s hard to tell exactly when the opening will be. But, keep you ears perked and your eyes peeled for the latest on this exciting new addition to the Las Vegas culinary scene.
