Tyber Creek Pub owners Maynard Goble, Tommy Timmins and Kevin Devin are planning to open a new neighborhood pub at the 1501 S. Mint Street property this fall, reports the Charlotte Business Journal.
The owners plan to invest up to $500,000 to convert an existing 2,000-square-foot brick building on the property into the new pub. The project is currently in permitting, with Hood Architecture serving as architect.
The space will feature the original bar from Tyber Creek’s former home at 1933 South Boulevard, along with fixtures, artwork, and décor from the location, which operated for nearly 25 years before closing in March 2024 to make way for redevelopment.
Goble told the Charlotte Business Journal the team is most excited about bringing the original bar back to life, noting it holds decades of memories for friends, family, and the Charlotte community.
The owners purchased the South Mint Street property through Publican Properties of Charlotte in February 2024. Phase one opened in June 2025 with a roughly 1,900-square-foot indoor-outdoor venue featuring roll-up doors and a large patio.
A third phase is also planned and will add an event space. Meanwhile, the owners are targeting a fall opening for the new pub as they continue expanding the Tyber Creek property in the Gold District.
