A popular boutique in the suburb is entering a new chapter this year.

Hilliard staple The Urban Market is now under new ownership at 4055 Main Street Suite 200, per a recent announcement on social media. The business has been open for nine years in the city’s downtown, and will be operated by New Grounds Coffee owner Juli Willbarger and entrepreneur Lynn Johnson. The announcement of the new ownership was on July 17, and the boutique is now open.

“Our goal is simple: to preserve everything you already love about Urban Market while adding a few fresh ideas and creative touches of our own. We look forward to getting to know you, hearing your ideas, and continuing to make Urban Market a welcoming place to shop, gather, and support local,” says the post from Urban Market.

New Grounds Coffee House has been open in Hilliard since 2006. Since then, Willbarger has expanded to Plain City and West Jefferson. While she specializes in coffee, Johnson operates The Crazy Cucumber booth at farmers markets in the Columbus area.

The boutique, previously owned by Lauren McKinniss, sells both womens and mens clothing items, including tops, bottoms, cologne, cardigans, jackets and dresses. Those who don’t need new fits can also shop for items like mugs, journals. All of the products and the clearance section are available on their website.

The store is centrally located in the downtown, at the intersection of Main and Norwich streets. This is next to Abner’s Casual Dinings, and across the street from The Old Bag of Nails Pub. Dragonfly Bookshop is in the same building as Urban Market.
