The Cleveland-based discount retailer has opened its fifth Ohio location and says more expansion is on the horizon, according to the Cincinnati Business Journal.
Krazy Bins has officially entered the market, opening its first location in the region as the discount retailer continues its expansion across Ohio.
The Cleveland-based chain recently opened a 30,000-square-foot store at 5385 Ridge Ave. in Columbia Township, marking its fifth Ohio location. The new store celebrated its grand opening on July 17 and offers the retailer’s signature bin-shopping experience featuring discounted brand-name merchandise, excess inventory, and customer returns from major retailers including Target and Amazon.
While speaking to the publication mentioned above, CEO Noah Leavitt said the Ridge Avenue location checked all the boxes for the company’s first venture into Greater Cincinnati.
“We’ve built a strong following across Northeast Ohio, and Cincinnati gives us the opportunity to introduce Krazy Bins to a large, diverse market with a strong retail base,” Leavitt said. “The Ridge Avenue location stood out to us because of its size, accessibility, visibility and proximity to a large population base.”
Krazy Bins is known for its rotating inventory and treasure-hunt shopping experience. New merchandise is stocked every Friday, with prices gradually decreasing throughout the week until the next restock.
The company currently operates stores in Akron, Mentor, Parma, Toledo, and now Columbia Township. Still, Leavitt said the Cincinnati opening is only the beginning of the retailer’s long-term growth plans.
Leavitt said the company’s immediate priority is ensuring a successful launch in Cincinnati, but he noted that Krazy Bins is already evaluating additional expansion opportunities across Ohio and other states. He added that the long-term goal is to continue growing the brand in new markets both within Ohio and beyond.
The new location is expected to employ 20 to 25 team members, according to Leavitt. He declined to share lease terms or the company’s investment in the project.
Krazy Bins joins a growing number of discount and liquidation retailers serving Greater Cincinnati, entering a market that includes operators such as Mac.bid, AllSurplus Deals, Dive Depot, and BidFTA.
