Boost Mobile is continuing to expand its reach across the Greater Houston region. According to a recently filed permit, a new Boost Mobile store is expected to open in the Alief neighborhood within the HEB West Belt Shopping Center at 10100 Beechnut St.

The permit further details that the construction of the new Boost Mobile store is currently underway and is slated to wrap up by mid-October. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $64,000 construction project, the new Boost Mobile store to come to Beechnut Street and Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8) should be open by this fall.

At the helm of the opening is a wireless retail company that operates multiple Boost Mobile store locations across Texas, South Carolina, and the Atlanta, Georgia area. Beep Depot was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Houston. The business sells Boost Mobile’s products, including prepaid mobile plans, smartphones, and accessories.

What Now Houston briefly spoke with Beep Depot’s Danyal Jawed, who confirmed the opening via text. Unfortunately, Jawed and the Beep Depot team were unable to share further details about the upcoming Boost Mobile opening by the time of this publication.

“Beep Depot is a trusted leader in the wireless retail industry,” the brand’s LinkedIn reads.

“With a focus on long-term growth, operational excellence, and strong partnerships with major wireless brands, Beep Depot continues to expand its footprint and deliver exceptional customer experiences.”

Boost Mobile was founded in 2001 as a joint venture and has since transitioned through ownership under Nextel, Sprint, and Dish/EchoStar. In 2023, Boost Mobile became a subsidiary of EchoStar following Dish Network’s corporate merger with EchoStar on December 31, 2023. The brand was relaunched with unified prepaid and postpaid branding as a self-styled nationwide carrier in 2024 and moved away from being a standalone facilities-based network operator to operate as an MVNO partner hosted primarily on AT&T in 2025.

What Now also reached out to EchoStar Capital CEO Hamid Akhavan to find out more about the Houston expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“Unlock a better wireless experience,” the Boost Mobile website reads.

“No long-term contracts, and no surprises. Just the coverage you need at a price you’ll love.”

There are now about 3,000 to 5,000 Boost Mobile retail locations across the United States, with nearly 500 stores in Texas and dozens across neighborhoods in Houston.

Boost Mobile is anticipated to open in the Alief neighborhood within the HEB West Belt Shopping Center at 10100 Beechnut St., by this fall.
