Hao Hao, the Asian restaurant known for its fusion of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, may be planning a new location. According to public filings, the restaurant plans to open at 17713 N. SH 130 Service Road NB, at the Pflugerville Parkway Retail Center, Building 2, Suite 200. Hao Hao offers traditional dishes such as Hot & Sour Soup and Pho Noodle Soup, cocktails, among other menu favorites.
What Now Austin reached out to Binh Tran, who also owns a Hao Hao location in Leander, to inquire about the opening timeline but did not receive a response prior to press time.
Hao Hao was originally founded in 1989 by Kevin and Linh Lieu Quach. The original restaurant, located at 1901 W. William Cannon Dr., Suite 115, permanently closed in January 2024 following the owners’ retirement.
Binh Tran and Phoebe Hoang, who also own China Kitchen, have since expanded the brand with a location in Leander. Also, in March 2026, What Now Austin reported plans for another Hao Hao location in Arbor Trails.
The Pflugerville restaurant would join a fast-growing commercial corridor along SH 130, an area that has attracted continued retail and restaurant development as the city’s population expands. Pflugerville has become an increasingly popular destination for new businesses thanks to its proximity to Austin, growing residential communities, and ongoing commercial investment.
