One of New York City’s most iconic cookie shops plans to debut in Austin. According to public filings, Levain Bakery could open at 3120 Palm Way within Domain Northside, with a construction completion date targeted for March 2027, a move that would mark the brand’s first Texas location.
The brand’s signature menu centers on oversized cookies including: Chocolate Chip Walnut, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, and Oatmeal Raisin, alongside coffee, pastries, and its signature cookie milk latte. What Now Austin reached out to Levain Bakery representatives to inquire about an opening timeline, but did not receive an answer prior to this publication.
Founded in 1995, Levain Bakery became a neighborhood staple on Manhattan’s Upper West Side before growing into one of the most recognized bakeries in the country. The brand currently operates across New York, California, Illinois, Washington D.C., Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
The Domain Northside location places Levain alongside some of Austin’s most high-profile retail and dining tenants, in a development that draws both residents and visitors from across the metro.
The brand has been expanding steadily beyond its New York roots. Recently, What Now covered its upcoming Nashville debut in the 12 South neighborhood.
