Pink Brick Boutique, the shop carrying apparel along with “Lotions, Potions, Wicks & Whimsy” at 6234 Grand Blvd, Suite 212, in New Port Richey, is expanding to its second store later this year. Opening at 421 W Fairbanks Ave in Winter Park, the Pink Brick Boutique will feature the same dizzying selection of “any and every beautiful thing you can think of,” owner Sallie Solie told What Now on Wednesday.
Solie describes the project as an idea that gestated slowly and then sprang into existence fast—stunningly fast.
“My business partner Lisa Layton and I had talked about opening a boutique for about 20 years and never got around to it. Until, right in the middle of COVID, we did. We found our space in New Port Richey, and it all fell together. We just wanted to make shopping the enjoyable experience it’s meant to be, to create a place where we would love to shop, with products we would love to have in our homes. Now, I think we look back and wonder—how did we do this? Sometimes it’s like the shop created itself.”
The new location on West Fairbanks Avenue—which is newly painted pink and, like the building that houses the Pink Brick Boutique in New Port Richey, is more than 100 years old—is working towards a November opening. Although, as Solie notes, opening projections are never written in stone.
With its incredibly eclectic selection and unforgettable atmosphere, the Pink Brick Boutique is a place people tend not to want to leave.
“It’s a calm, soothing, incredibly beautiful space. I’d never seen a shop like it, and we’ve had people come in from all over the world and say they haven’t either.”
How exactly would you describe your product selection, given how eclectic it is? What Now asked.
“It can be difficult to sum up in one sentence,” Solie said. “Because it’s not just apparel, not just accessories, candles, soap, shoes, umbrellas, houseware, makeup. We really just put everything we love in there. It’s any and every beautiful thing you can think of. People walk in, and they gasp. It’s a boutique of discovery, where you walk in and discover this and discover that. It probably takes 5-10 visits to see everything. It’s vast, and there’s so much to look at.”
