For Praveen and Sangeeta Reddy, bringing Woodhouse Spa to Jacksonville is about more than opening a new business, it’s about creating a place where people can slow down, recharge and make time for themselves.
The husband-and-wife franchisees are preparing to open Jacksonville’s first Woodhouse Spa at 9735 Gate Parkway, with plans to welcome guests between November and December.
Sangeeta said the spa will offer luxury services including facials, massages and body treatments in a freestanding facility designed to deliver a resort-style experience without requiring guests to leave the city.
“I was inspired by my sister, who is an early and experienced owner of a Woodhouse Spa with over 10 years of experience in the industry. Why we chose Jacksonville? Its market metrics and personal preference. Jacksonville is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, with 100 new people added every day, alongside a significant market gap for luxury spa options,” she said.
Operating under a franchise model with more than 80 locations across the US, Woodhouse Spa is continuing to grow its national footprint. Praveen said construction is well underway.
“The team is currently in the midst of the facility buildout process. We are excited about the upcoming launch and are aiming for an opening date during the holidays, in November or December,” Praveen said.
For Sangeeta, the spa represents more than beauty treatments. She believes people today are carrying more stress than ever before, making wellness and self-care increasingly important.
“Back then it was not a priority at all and life was more simple, to be honest. For the last 10 years or even longer than that I’ve seen stress levels rise. People are more stressed with their day-to-day activities, and I think these kinds of body treatments and facials are an escape from that stress, even if it is for an hour or two. You feel great when you’re getting these services. You feel like you’ve given yourself that time for self-care,” she said.
