The Curlew Store is preparing to reopen at 2 River St. in Curlew. Co-owner Jenny Konz told What Now Seattle that the team is targeting late August, though an exact opening date has not been set.
The store has been part of the small city community for more than a century. After remaining closed for several years, the historic business is now being brought back to life under a new ownership team.
A recent application with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board lists Daniel O’Brien, Jenny Konz, and Ronald O’Brien as applicants. The business is seeking a grocery store beer-and-wine license.
The Curlew Store previously operated as a rural general store and gathering place for the surrounding community. Details about the products and services planned for the reopening have not yet been released.
What Now Seattle will update this article as more information becomes available.
