Bowie Barker is preparing to open its first Seattle location at 8551 Greenwood Ave. N., Suite 4, in Greenwood. Local franchisee Alex Branzburg told What Now Seattle that the team is targeting a mid-September opening.
The Greenwood shop will be Branzburg’s first Bowie Barker location. The brand already operates in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Scottsdale.
Customers will be able to book full-service baths, haircuts, trims, de-shedding, skin treatments, flea and tick care, and other grooming services. Those who prefer to wash their own dogs will have access to self-service stations.
“We offer more of a modern approach, very tech-focused, and just cleaner, more efficient, more of a premium solution,” Branzburg told What Now Seattle.
Bowie Barker’s app allows customers to schedule appointments, check in, and pay. Pet owners also receive digital wellness reports with photos after visits. A retail section will carry treats, toys, and grooming products.
The company also offers memberships with unlimited access to the self-service tubs, $30 off each bath, discounts on add-ons, and unused services that roll over each month.
Bowie Barker is part of Post Investment Group and was co-founded by Jeff Platt, Gara Post, and Michelle Sandonato. Its shops typically include a lobby, self-service wash stations, and a separate area for professional grooming.
Construction at the Greenwood location is nearing completion. Branzburg said the team is considering a grand opening event with neighboring businesses, though plans have not yet been finalized.
