Apopka is getting a new Latin restaurant, bar, and nightlife spot. Called Don Patron, it’s opening at 34 E Main Street.
“It’s going to be a high-energy, Miami-style restaurant and club,” co-owner Joey Acevedo told What Now on Thursday. Acevedo is opening Don Patron in partnership with Stephen Berigan.
Don Patron will feature booth and table seating, along with a bar, with space for about 80 guests in all. A menu (which the owners stress is likely to change) has been posted on the Don Patron website, showcasing entrees like a Chimichurri NY Strip and a Steak & Shrimp Plate.
This is combined with more casual choices like Steak Street Tacos, Fried Chicken & Waffles, and a Cuban sandwich, along with starters, salads, and desserts.
“We’re trying to provide a positive experience for the community and make Main Street a popular destination again, to bring good food, good music, and good vibes to that location, which has been neglected for a long time,” Berigan told What Now. “So many people are telling us this is something the area has needed for some time. We’ve taken their comments and run with it, molding this idea around that feedback.”
