A popular American sports bar and grill has bid farewell to the Cornwall community. On July 31, 2026, Ginny’s Sports Bar & Grill poured its final drink and marked the end of its journey. The bar team shared the closure announcement on social media.

Ginny’s Sports Bar & Grill Closes After Several Years in Cornwall, New York

The bar offered a traditional sports bar setting with a full-service kitchen, bar offerings, and American-style menu items. Located at 2576 US-9W in Cornwall, New York, Ginny’s Sports Bar & Grill operated in a prime location in Hudson Valley’s main commercial corridor.

With an official social media post, the bar team announced the closure news. The restaurant hosted a final night party on July 31 to celebrate the last chapter.

Following the closure, the team shared a message on Instagram and thanked the community and customers for their support. The team wrote, “Ginny’s Sports Bar and Grill is now officially closed for business.”

“We will never forget all the incredible memories and customers who became friends over the past few years. “It’s not goodbye, but see you later!” added the team.

Community Gathered for One Final Celebration

To celebrate its final night of operation, the bar hosted “Last Party at Ginnys” on July 31. For the night, it offered draft beers at $2, beer cans and bottles for $3, and teas and seltzers for $4. Along with that, the bar also served half-priced shots and drinks. The team mentioned that “DJ Heidi will be donating her services, so please tip her if you can!”

In the closure announcement, the bar team did not share any official reason for its closure.

The sudden closure has shocked the community. With the closure of Ginny’s Sports Bar & Grill, the Cornwall community has lost an entertaining nightlife destination forever.
