A local favorite coffee shop in Boca Park announced permanent closure. After 16 years of service, Sambalatte will be closing its doors on August 27. The restaurant owner cited lease challenges as the reason for its upcoming closure.
Sambalatte’s Boca Park Cafe Location to Close
Sambalatte, an upscale and eco-conscious artisanal coffee lounge and cafe, is located in Boca Park. The cafe gained a strong following in the neighborhood with its philosophy of “Sip, Savor, Socialize.”
Along with coffee and specialty beverages, the cafe offers an all-day menu featuring breakfast burritos, sandwiches, croissants, and other items. Located at 750 S Rampart Boulevard, Ste 9 in Las Vegas, the cafe team has confirmed the closure news and set August 27 as its final day of operation.
The team explained, “Unfortunately, we were unable to renew our lease, and this came as an unexpected turn for all of us.”
The cafe is actively looking for a new location for the cafe in the region. “We are creating a timeless urban industrial space with our own roastery, a place designed to awaken the senses and bring our community together once again,” added the team.
The Story Behind Sambalatte
The Las Vegas cafe lounge and espresso bar is operated and founded by Luiz C. Oliveira. Raised in Brazil, Luiz was influenced by local farmers and Brazilian cuisine.
He founded Sambalatte with the aim of providing an educational coffee experience for the LV community. The cafe sources coffee beans from small microlot farms in Brazil and other regions, according to the company. The cafe blends and roasts coffee weekly and uses advanced brewing equipment along with traditional siphon setups.
The restaurant team invites customers to stop in for one more cup of coffee before it closes down. The Sambalatte also thanked the community for its support, as it wraps up its chapter in Las Vegas.
