Raising Cane’s is expanding its Jacksonville footprint, with a second restaurant planned for the Markets at Town Center.
The new restaurant will take over the former Pollo Tropical at 4863 Gate Parkway, where W.H. Bass Inc. has been approved to build out the space, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.
The location will give Jacksonville another place to grab Raising Cane’s signature chicken finger meals, which come with crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and the chain’s Cane’s Sauce. The menu also includes sandwiches, kids’ meals and drinks, including fresh-squeezed lemonade.
Raising Cane’s keeps its menu intentionally focused, with the company saying its chicken fingers are made fresh to order. The chain has built its identity around chicken fingers, its signature sauce and a simple menu designed around the meal.
Jacksonville’s first Raising Cane’s opened in July 2025 at 8308 Merchants Way in Oakleaf Station, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.
The Gate Parkway restaurant is not the only Raising Cane’s planned for Jacksonville. Another location is in development at 10989 San Jose Blvd., while a further location has been proposed near 9501 Arlington Expressway.
An opening date for the new Markets at Town Center restaurant has not yet been announced.
