Exciting news for Tennessee night owls and lovers of comfort food in general. Construction is actively underway on a Ripley location of Waffle House, and the Southern favorite plans to be open by autumn.
The beloved chain is currently being erected on Cleveland Street. Waffle House has been actively hiring for the new location, which is eying a late October opening. An August 7 Facebook post from Barbee Mobile Notary Services, LLC shows the progress being made on the storefront; a strong framework is in place, and while there is visibly still work to be done, a mid-autumn opening seems very feasible.
Waffle House has been an absolute institution since its founding in 1955. The chain is beloved both for its Southern comfort cuisine and for being open 24-hours, allowing customers to scratch their Waffle House itches whenever they hit. The concept has spread to include more than 2,100 locations across 25 states.
