A new brewery, restaurant, and taproom is preparing to open its doors at 1231 N Orange Ave in Orlando: Hyperbolic Brewing Company. Taking over the former Hammered Lamb space, Hyperbolic Brewing will focus on “traditionally decocted European lagers, fruited sours, IPAs and premium barrel-aged ales,” said coverage by Orlando Weekly published in late 2025.

What Now spoke with owner Maxwell Furth on Tuesday about plans for the launch. Furth says the opening is planned for October and that, for the moment, the food menu is remaining under wraps.

The name of the Brewery, Furth says, refers “to my engineering roots. [A hyperbole] is also an extreme example, which is kind of how I make my beer.”

One example of this extremity is the brand’s time-intensive production process involved in the brewer’s traditionally decocted German lagers.

“Only a handful of people still do it this way, because it’s time-consuming, very involved. But I’ve always thought that the extra addition makes a big difference in the quality of the lagers.”

Hyperbole Brewing make full use of the former Hammered Lamb space—including, Furth says, “the left suite that was never utilized,” which serve as the brewery.

Together with three partners—each of whom, Furth says, have been brewers for about 15 years—Furth brings decades of brewing experience to the table.
