Zio Al’s Pizza & Pasta is embarking on another Greater Houston region opening. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, Zio Al’s Pizza & Pasta is planned for Montrose at 106 Westheimer Road.
The permit further details that construction on the new Zio Al’s Pizza and Pasta spot started in mid-April and is slated to wrap up at the end of this month. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $250,000 construction project, the new Montrose Zio Al’s Pizza and Pasta eatery should open before the end of this summer.
Community Impact recently reported that the new Montrose location is one of two to come to the Greater Houston area, with another location planned for Greater Heights.
What Now Houston briefly spoke with owner Alex Frijat and Amanda Rechdan, who is a member of the construction project management team. The two confirmed the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, Frijay and Rechdan were unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“When the craving hits at midnight, Zio Al’s has you covered, with 12 locations spread across the DFW Metroplex, we’re always close by and always open late,” the Zio Al’s Pizza and Pasta website reads.
“Hot pizza, fresh pasta, and crispy wings made to order, because the best meals don’t always happen before 9 PM.”

Zio Al’s Pizza and Pasta was founded in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2010. Since its inception, the brand has blossomed into a dozen locations. There are now 13 Zio Al’s Pizza and Pasta locations serving the Lone Star State, with one open location in the Greater Houston area, in Katy, and several more under development.
Zio Al’s Pizza and Pasta is known for its late-night hours (staying open daily until 3 AM) and scratch-made Italian comfort food, including specialty pizzas, hearty pastas, Philly cheesesteaks, and wings.
Try it all out for yourself at the new Zio Al’s Pizza & Pasta when it opens in the Montrose area at 106 Westheimer Road later this year.
