A new Thai cafe is coming to the heart of Denver as Busaba Thai takes over a space near Union Station.
The restaurant location is at 1625 Wynkoop Street next to the Union Station plaza. Owner Shekhar Pokhrel told WhatNow Media Group the expected opening date is in the fall.
Busaba is part of the family-run Jittlada Group, which operates several restaurant concepts and describes Busaba as a Thai cafe with a more polished dining experience. The concept focuses on traditional Thai dishes alongside familiar Western favorites.
Busaba serves dishes such as tom yum soup, Thai salmon salad and Massaman curry, along with smaller plates and desserts. Its signature pearl pudding combines tapioca pearls, taro and sweet corn with warm coconut cream.
The restaurant has already built a presence overseas, with Busaba locations in shopping centers across Jakarta, Indonesia, including Pacific Place Mall, PIK Avenue Mall and Pondok Indah Mall.
For its Denver location, the group is bringing the concept downtown and into a space previously occupied by Zoe Ma Ma, the longtime Chinese restaurant that closed after more than a decade near Union Station.
