Chef Olivier Louissaint is planning to open his own restaurant this fall, according to a recent Instagram post. Le Local will open at 484 Bd du Séminaire N in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The chef, who works as a private chef and has a television presence on shows like “Salut Bonjour,” plans to tap into his Haitian and Senegalese roots for the menu at Le Local.

Louissaint shared in a recent announcement that he hopes to open the restaurant in October.

Further menu and design details remain unclear at this time.
