Los Portales, a Mexican restaurant nestled at 6448 Nolensville Pike in downtown Nashville, is set to cease operations. The dining spot recently confirmed the closure but has yet to share a final day of service at the location.

Los Portales Announces Permanent Closure

Los Portales is known for serving Mexican dishes including enchiladas, tacos, steaks, seafood, salads, and fajitas. The Nashville restaurant shared the closure news with customers through social media post.

In the post, the Los Portales team said the decision was not an easy one and reflected on how the restaurant had become more than a place to eat. The team reflected on the memories, friendships, celebrations, laughter, and other special moments.

The Mexican restaurant also acknowledged the support of friends, clients, employees, and family members.

“Every visit, every meal, every kind word, and every bit of support has meant more to us than you know,” the team wrote.

Dolly Parton Was a Regular at Los Portales

Los Portales also has a connection to Dolly Parton, who was among the restaurant’s guests over the years. Following Parton’s death in August 2026, Los Portales shared a tribute on Facebook.

Describing her as a “beloved icon,” the restaurant looked back on memories of welcoming her over the years and sharing meals, noting her kind and warm demeanor.

“Her music, generosity, and beautiful spirit touched people around the world, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of so many. We are honored to have been a small part of her Nashville story and will treasure those memories forever,” the post read.

Los Portales Teases a Future Project

In its Instagram post, the restaurant confirmed the closure while suggesting that another project could follow.

The team posted, “While this chapter is coming to an end, we hope it is not goodbye forever. We are excited to see what the future holds and truly hope to see many of you again soon through a new project and a new chapter for our family.”

Los Portales has not yet announced its final day of service. The restaurant will remain open until the closure takes effect.
