Wingstop is preparing to open a new San Antonio location on the city’s South Side, with plans to take over an existing building at 6338 Old Pearsall Road, Suite 101, San Antonio, TX 78242, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.

The project, listed as Wingstop (GL#AD055) “Pearsall” under project number TABS2027000628, calls for approximately 1,656 square feet of tenant improvements for the new restaurant.

According to the filing, work will include demolition as needed, construction of new interior partitions, new wall, floor and ceiling finishes, equipment installation, lighting and electrical upgrades, and mechanical improvements.

Construction is expected to begin December 9, 2026, with completion scheduled for March 9, 2027. The project carries an estimated cost of $300,000 and is privately funded. The TDLR project is currently listed as registered.

The new restaurant will bring Wingstop’s menu of cooked-to-order chicken wings, tenders, sandwiches, fries and other sides to the area. Customers can choose from the brand’s variety of signature flavors, including options ranging from mild and savory to spicy.

Founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, Wingstop has grown into a major fast-casual chicken chain with locations across the United States and internationally. The brand is known for its made-to-order wings and its focus on bold flavors, including Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, Louisiana Rub, Original Hot and Mango Habanero.

Wingstop also offers chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, seasoned fries, ranch and other sides, as well as soft drinks. The chain provides dine-in, takeout and delivery options at many of its restaurants.

According to the TDLR filing, Pearsall Bliss LLC is listed as the property owner, with Joe Kboudi listed as the owner contact. Wilkus Architects is listed as the design firm, while Jeffrey A. Gutknecht is listed as the registered accessibility specialist.

The upcoming Pearsall Road restaurant will add another Wingstop location to San Antonio as the brand continues expanding its footprint in the market. An official opening date has not yet been announced, with construction currently scheduled to run through March 2027.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Wingstop for additional information about the upcoming location but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
