A South Florida-based fitness brand is bringing its heated yoga and strength-training concept to Greater Boston.

Yoga Joint recently announced that local franchisees Brian Weller and Dustin Martin will bring four locations to the Boston market, though specific sites and opening timelines have not yet been released.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Yoga Joint experience to a new community and enter a market with such a strong fitness and wellness culture,” the company wrote in a social media update. “Brian and Dustin chose to partner with Yoga Joint because they believe our combination of effective fitness, elevated hospitality, and community is a natural fit for Boston.”

The new franchisees are no strangers to Boston’s fitness and hospitality scene. Weller previously owned and operated a franchise of Barry’s Bootcamp from 2013 to 2022 and is a co-founder of Boston-based pickleball and entertainment venue PKL. Martin also co-owned and operated the Boston Barry’s franchise alongside Weller during that time, bringing years of experience in fitness, hospitality, and business to the new venture.

Founded by Paige Held in 2010, Yoga Joint has grown into a 20-location fitness brand across Florida, where its studios combine heated yoga with high-intensity strength training. The company is also expanding beyond its home state, with two New York City locations slated to open this fall.

That broader expansion follows a $5.5 million growth-capital raise announced in April, which the company said would support its expansion into New York City and additional markets. According to Business Wire, Yoga Joint plans to double its footprint by 2027, with further growth expected across the Northeast and beyond.

The brand centers its programming around two signature class formats: Flow60, a heated vinyasa yoga class, and FIIT45, a high-intensity strength-training and cardio workout. Both are designed around heated studio environments, with the company touting benefits including increased mobility, muscle warming, and strength building.

Yoga Joint also puts a considerable emphasis on the overall studio experience. Its locations feature state-of-the-art sound systems, dynamic lighting designed to complement each class, numbered mat spaces, and specialized yoga flooring, along with a custom mobile app offering on-demand classes.

“Yoga Joint helps you achieve maximum physical results with a program that nurtures your mind and body and a community centered around total well-being,” reads the company’s website.

What Now Boston has reached out to Weller, Martin, and the Yoga Joint corporate team for additional details about the planned locations and opening timelines and will share updates as more information becomes available.
