The fuel station on Michigan Avenue just south of the Boulder Drive intersection in Kissimmee may soon be home to your new favorite spot for Pica Pollo.
If you’re not familiar, Pica Pollo is “the authentic Dominican fried chicken,” says DominicanCooking.com. “The original pica pollo, like chofan and chopsui, goes back to restaurants started by Chinese immigrants who settled in the country in the previous century. Nowadays pica pollo has been ‘aplatanado’ (Dominicanized), and it is considered almost as ‘criollo’ as mangú.”
The new restaurant, called Sariel Pica Pollo, would open at 1903 Michigan Ave, according to plan review paperwork submitted by Sariel Pica Pollo LLC.
What Now reached out to owner Rodolfo Vila this weekend to ask about plans for Sariel Pica Pollo. Vila was not immediately available for comment, but What Now is awaiting additional information, so stay tuned for possible updates as more details become available.
Joining Right Fuel, Sariel Pica Pollo would be situated just across the street from Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Latinoamericana.
