Activate Games is set to debut in the Las Vegas Valley this fall. According to an Instagram post from Town Square Las Vegas, the new interactive gaming center is expected to open within the outdoor mall at 6611 S Las Vegas Blvd, A143.
The new entertainment spot will open alongside Game Show Battle Rooms and a host of other retail and restaurants at Town Square Las Vegas this fall. Activiate Games also has the upcoming opening already listed on its website.
“It’s a game. A workout. A party. Be one of the first to experience a new way to play at Activate Las Vegas (Town Square),” the webpage announcing the upcoming Las Vegas debut reads.
What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with Activiate Games Vice President of Operations, Sébastien Piché, who confirmed the opening. Unfortunately, Piché was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“Activate is a live-action gaming adventure, designed to challenge all skill levels. We simply supply the experience; you bring the action,” the Activate website reads.
“Enter the game where you become the player in the world’s first active gaming facility. Jump, climb, problem-solve, and laugh as you and your friends move between challenges. Each dynamic game room has interactive technology that reacts in real time, ensuring an adrenaline-filled adventure.”

Activate Games is an active gaming company founded in Winnipeg, Canada, in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Adam and Megan Schmidt. Before inventing Activate, the Schmidts successfully ran an early Winnipeg escape room business called The Real Escape. Realizing that escape rooms offered a “one-shot deal” for players who could only solve them once, they wanted a replayable, dynamic system. The couple spent roughly two years brainstorming and designing the concept in their pool shed/backyard workshop before launching the first location in Winnipeg in January 2019.
The founders engineered the technology so that new games and updates can be pushed out to all global locations instantly with the click of a button. Players wear RFID wristbands to enter high-tech, interactive game rooms that track scores, levels, and persistent rewards like badges. Visitors pay for 75-minute active sessions, moving through rapid 90-second to 3-minute physical and mental challenges.
“Activate isn’t a black-and-white experience. Every decision is yours to make, giving you the ability to create a custom, action-packed pursuit. We simply provide the space; you color in the rest,” the brand’s website reads.
“Each Activate location is beaming with a selection of interactive light-up game rooms designed to test your physical and mental agility.”
What started as a single facility in Manitoba has expanded to more than 75 Activate Games locations globally across Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Europe, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates. The brand has ranked heavily on top-growing company lists, celebrated surpassing 10 million total visits, and plans to continue expanding internationally.
