The unique ice cream-waffle concept is moving to another part of Miami’s metro this year.

From a recent Florida permitting application, a new Puffles Waffles & Ice Cream is coming to 654 N University Drive in Pembroke Pines. This is part of the company’s expansion plans around Miami. As the permit was just recently submitted, an opening date is not known at this time.

Puffles has created popular ice cream and waffle combinations over the years, including “The Classic” with vanilla bean ice cream, rainbow sprinkles, whipped cream and strawberry pocky. Waffle flavors like chocolate or plain are available, with the pumpkin option coming this fall. All of the flavors and topping options can be found on their website.

The chain was started by Caleb Deng in 2017, and it currently operates in Hollywood Beach, downtown Miami, the Hard Rock Stadium and New Jersey. What Now Miami previously covered their location coming to Davie this year. A fall opening is anticipated right now.

Puffles is coming to the plaza north of Crossroads Square, at the intersection of Pines Road. Other restaurants in the shopping center include Hi Pot Pembroke Pines, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Pollo Campero chicken and Einstein Bros. Bagels. This is a 25-minute drive from downtown Hollywood.

What Now Miami is awaiting comment from Deng on the new opening, and this article may be updated.
