Back Nine Golf, a St. George, Utah-based indoor golf simulator franchise, is making its Sacramento area debut in Roseville’s TJ Maxx Plaza, filling about 2,800 square feet at 1850 Douglas Blvd, Suite 516, in a space previously occupied by pet store The Serpentarium. Franchise owner Matt Antrobus confirmed to What Now Sacramento that he and his wife, Jess Antrobus, are targeting a January opening.

The Roseville location will feature four Full Swing golf simulator bays, the same brand used as the official simulator of the PGA Tour and TGL, with each bay running roughly $60,000 in hardware alone. Antrobus described the format as available 24 hours a day for members, who book tee times online and let themselves in using a QR code, no staff required to open the door.

Membership will run in three tiers, priced around $179 – $359 a month, each offering a longer daily tee time window, from one hour up to three, along with free guest passes and tournament discounts that scale with the tier. Antrobus said early sign-ups will be able to lock in founding member pricing, 20 percent off for the lifetime of their membership, before the doors even open. Coaches will also be available on-site for private lessons.

Antrobus brings his own small business background to the venture, having owned several Subway franchises in the early 2000s before spending the last decade working in software and tech. Back Nine Golf itself has grown quickly as a franchise, with more than 300 locations currently open and over 600 territories sold across the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

“It’s premier indoor golf, 24/7, with cutting-edge simulators,” Antrobus said. “Whether you’re a beginner or an avid golfer, it’s a place to practice and get better.”
