There’s exciting news on the horizon for Memphis hair. A new salon called Aishas Braid Bar is making progress towards opening in the area, as evidenced by permitting documents.
Aishas Braid Bar has been issued a certificate of occupancy from the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for 2695 S Perkins Road. The application shows that the store will span 1,300 square feet and will, as the name suggests, focus on hair braiding-the project description is listed simply as: “Natural hair salon. Hair braiding”.
An opening timeline is not presently available for Aishas Braid Bar, however the concept has a sign permit under review as of September 16, a positive indicator that the salon will be customer-ready in the near future.
Aishas Braid Bar does not yet have a digital footprint. A Bizapedia entry shows that the salon registered as an LLC with the Tennessee Department of State in February of this year and is also associated with the name “Aishas Braiding Shop.”
