Finnigan’s Wake has reopened at 620 N. Trade St. in Winston-Salem, entering a new chapter under new ownership. According to a recent Instagram post from Downtown Winston-Salem, the longtime Trade Street staple has returned with a refreshed space, a streamlined menu, and the familiar Finnigan’s character that locals have known over the years.
The reopening brings changes to the restaurant while maintaining its role as a casual gathering spot in downtown Winston-Salem. Downtown Winston-Salem shared that the updated space includes a new hangout area designed for guests to settle in, play a game of pool, and stay awhile. The restaurant is also open seven days a week, according to the downtown organization.
The kitchen has received an update as well. According to Downtown Winston-Salem, several dishes recently making their way out of the kitchen include Seafood Chowder, Board Bia, Cabbage Field Salad, and a Cuban sandwich. The streamlined menu gives the pub a mix of hearty dishes, lighter fare, and familiar sandwich options.
Finnigan’s Wake has long been associated with Winston-Salem’s Trade Street dining and nightlife scene. The restaurant is in the downtown Arts District, surrounded by other restaurants, breweries, bars, and local businesses.
