Greenlee’s Mexican Kitchen is one of the newest concepts from Piper Hospitality Group. The sister concept to Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery is expected to open in Katy at 6001 Highway Blvd.
The new eatery was announced in late October 2025, when the owners announced they were expanding westward from Houston into the Houston suburb of Katy. The upcoming development is planned for a 3.5-acre property located in Old Katy and situated right next to Midway BBQ.
What Now Houston reached out to Brandon Piper, who, along with his brother Justin, is the team behind Piper Development. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from Piper by the time of this publication.
“🎉 BIG NEWS, KATY! 🎉We’re expanding the Preslee’s family,” an Instagram post on the brand’s Instagram page reads.
“Our 2nd Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery is officially coming to Katy, Texas, alongside her sister restaurant, Greenlee’s Mexican Kitchen.”
The Pipers originally launched Preslee’s Southern Good Eatery in Houston’s Shady Acres/Heights neighborhood in 2019, naming it after Justin’s daughter.
The plan is to serve traditional Mexican dishes and bold flavors at the new sister concept. Social media handles have been established, though an official website, comprehensive menus, official opening dates, and operating hours are still pending further announcements from the ownership group.
But we’re sure that as we inch closer to opening, more will be revealed. So keep your ears perked and your eyes peeled for the latest.
