A Brazilian steakhouse with two Massachusetts locations will soon bring its rodízio-style dining experience to Natick.
Alma Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse is planning to open its third location at the Natick Mall, taking over a first-floor space at 1245 Worcester Street near Nordstrom and the Apple Store. The new restaurant will occupy the former home of The Met Bar & Grill, a space that was later slated to become Gatsby’s Chop House but never opened.
Founder and owner Nelson DeOliveira confirmed the expansion plans with MetroWest Daily News. The restaurant is currently working through Natick’s local permitting process and seeking approval for its liquor license. An official opening date has not yet been announced, though construction is expected to take approximately three months once the necessary permits are finalized.
Alma Gaúcha offers a traditional Brazilian churrascaria experience centered around all-you-can-eat rodízio service, with servers bringing a rotating selection of fire-roasted meats directly to diners’ tables. Offerings include prime cuts of beef, chicken, pork, and lamb, along with an extensive salad bar featuring fresh vegetables, aged cheeses, imported cured meats, Brazilian hearts of palm, smoked salmon, and more.
At the bar, guests can look forward to a wide selection of beer, wine, handcrafted cocktails, and signature caipirinhas—a traditional Brazilian cocktail made with cachaça, fresh fruit, sugar, and ice—including passion fruit, mixed fruit, and strawberry varieties.
The restaurant currently operates two Massachusetts locations at the Aloft Boston Seaport and on Main Street in Worcester. The Natick location will feature a full buffet with an extensive salad bar and a variety of side dishes. Additionally, the restaurant will feature a large bar area and outdoor patio, with the new location accommodating approximately 200 guests overall.
Alma Gaúcha also offers private dining spaces for group gatherings and special events, including business lunches, executive dinners, weddings, and anniversaries.
