A swim school is making a splash with a new spot in the greater Philadelphia area.
Aqua-Tots will open its latest location at the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken, led by franchise owners Andrea and Brad Sahl. The duo also operates locations in Horsham and Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
“There’s a high demand for swim lessons in that area, and our brand is well positioned to meet the needs of families in the community,” Brad told Whatnow Philadelphia.
The Sahls were first introduced to the Aqua-Tots brand through their own families’ swim lesson experiences.
“We were parents of children in swim lessons at an Aqua-Tots before we ever got into the business of being owners. We loved our experience. We loved water safety and what the kids were seeing and learning. Aqua-Tots’ values aligned with our own,” he said.
Aqua-Tots offers eight levels of progressive swim instruction for children ages four months to 12 years. Families can join anytime, at any level, with a consistent 4:1 child-to-instructor ratio ensuring every swimmer gets the individual support to progress at their own pace.
“We follow a very structured curriculum that builds upon itself. There’s a beginning, intermediate and advanced phase of every level. For example, if you’re in a Level 3 class, there could be twelve skills you have to master before the next level,” Brad said.
The Sahls said they are excited to expand Aqua-Tots while continuing to build a strong team.
“Aside from bringing the brand to Conshohocken and meeting the needs of the community, having a place for our people to grow and develop professionally with us, as an employer, there’s nothing more you could ask for. It’s wonderful and heartwarming for us,” Brad said.
While the Oct. 11 grand opening remains the main focus, the duo hinted at future expansion plans, with hopes of bringing the brand to more communities across the Delaware Valley.
