An Indianapolis-based restaurateur is building something new.

Arechiga told What Now Chicago he is hoping to open the spot either December this year or January 2027.

Arechiga manages restaurant concepts around Illinois and Indiana including Hacienda Real, Tia Carmen and Revolucion. What Now Chicago previously covered a new Hacienda Real location coming to 20 S Weber Road in Bolingbrook, which has since opened. This is the first restaurant under the Boca Brava name.

While a menu hasn’t been released, those dining can expect classic Mexican dishes like tacos and burritos. Arechiga said he also wants to serve elevated options like steak, fishes and other seafood. As Reza’s featured a bar inside, the team will also utilizing the space for a cocktail bar concept.

The building is where Sherman and Orrington avenues meet, at the intersection of Grove Street. TEAlicious BUBBLE is right next to the storefront, and other restaurants along this stretch include Trattoria Demi and NEW YOLKTOWN. This is a short walk from Raymond Park.

Right now, construction at the building is well underway. A social media and website for Boca Brava will be released in the coming months.
