The community focused coffee company is expanding.
Bakri Coffee and Roasters has posted to social media their latest location is opening at the Sky Crepe Bistro space, 7120 Schaefer Road, again serving brews and baked goods. Owner Ali Bakri told What Now Detroit they are hoping to debut it around mid-November.
The concept started out as online coffee sales, then shifting to catering and eventually opening their first brick-and-mortar last year. They currently operate four locations, including two in Dearborn and one in Sterling Heights. The closest shop to the upcoming location is at 25093 Michigan Avenue.
“Secret’s out! East siders, this one’s for you. Our 5th location, Bakri Bistro & Cafe, is coming to the heart of Dearborn – complete with a drive-thru and an entirely new Bakri experience. We can’t wait to share what’s coming,” says a recent post from the team.
Menus vary by location, with staples including iced lattes, refreshers and matchas. Baked goods like a s’mores cookie, chocolate chip muffin and iced lemon loaf are also served. Like their other cafes, the coffees will be made in-house.
Bakri Coffee is coming to the east side of Schaefer Road, at the intersection of W Warren Avenue. It joins other restaurants at this stretch including Aldaar, Iraqi Kabob and Al’s Grill. Signage has just gone up at the location.
While construction progresses, the team will be updating the community on their new location on Facebook and Instagram.
