It has been a successful few years for the restaurant.
The owners of Shermroon Kabab House submitted a liquor license application for a new location at 2109-2111 W Chicago Avenue. This would be their second restaurant, following their almost four years in Park Ridge. Co-owner Asrin Ebrahimpour told What Now Chicago they are hoping to open around the end of November.
The first Shemroon opened in November 2022 at 430 W Touhy Avenue, and is well-known as a destination for Persian and Mediterranean cuisine in the suburbs. It was opened by Ebrahimipour and his wife Mehdi Hajiaghazadeh. There, the team serves fresh kabob dishes, lamb shank and other delectable options from that region.
“Serving up a menu of contemporary Persian cuisine with wine & cocktails in a stylish, modern space,” says the description on their Facebook page.
The storefront is on the south end of W Chicago Avenue, near the intersection of N Hoyne Avenue. This is close to All Together Now new American restaurant, and across from Mariano’s grocery store. The Ukrainian National Museum is a short walk from the storefront.
As it gets closer to the opening, owners will be releasing information on the Ukrainian Village location on their website.
