A new Dollar Tree may be coming to El Cajon’s southern corridor. According to public permits filed with the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality, the discount retailer could open at 2510 Jamacha Road.
Dollar Tree offers a wide assortment of household essentials, cleaning supplies, food and snacks, health and beauty products, party supplies, seasonal décor, and other everyday items.
What Now San Diego reached out to Dollar Tree representatives for details on the opening timeline but did not hear back by press time.
The retailer operates more than 16,000 stores across the United States and Canada, making it one of North America’s largest discount chains.
The proposed Jamacha Road location would expand Dollar Tree’s presence in southern El Cajon.
According to the company’s store locator, its existing East County locations include stores along Fletcher Parkway, N. 2nd Street and E. Main Street.
The potential addition would bring the chain farther south into El Cajon’s residential areas.
