Pennsylvania’s Italian-American tavern and restaurant, Chalfont Tavern Pizza and Restaurant, announced its closure. After less than a year of rebranding, the pizzeria plans to close its doors by the end of this year.
Chalfont Tavern Pizza & Restaurant Bids Farewell
The pizzeria is a casual dining spot in the Chalfont neighborhood that serves a variety of pizzas, Italian dishes, sandwiches, and classic comfort food.
Chalfont Tavern Pizza and Restaurant announced its closure with a social media post. The restaurant, located at 4 N Main St, Chalfont, is preparing to shut its operations in December 2026.
The team thanked the community and customers for their support. They shared an emotional farewell message and said, “Your loyalty, memories, laughter, and continued support have meant more to us than words can express. You have been more than customers — you have been part of our family.”
They also encouraged the community to visit the restaurant before it shuts down. The team mentioned, “Although December will mark the end of this chapter, we are still OPEN and look forward to seeing you until then!”
About the Restaurant
According to a Patch report, the restaurant was formerly known as Leonardo’s Pizza. In February 2026, under the new ownership of Rosa Jimenez, the name was changed to Chalfont Tavern Pizza & Restaurant. The restaurant also introduced new menu items and desserts as part of the new branding.
The pizzeria serves several types of signature pizzas, including classic New York-style, Chicago-style, and more. Apart from that, the menu also offers authentic pasta dishes, cheesesteaks, and salads.
The closure announcement prompted customers to share their disappointment and sadness on social media.
One customer commented, “Sorry to hear this!! We’ve enjoyed the bands and the delicious food!! Wishing you all the best!!”
Chalfont Tavern Pizza and Restaurant will continue to serve customers until December 2026 and hopes to celebrate its final chapter with the community.
