Cafe Fiorello DC to Close by October

Cafe Fiorello is a landmark classic Italian restaurant located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The restaurant chain served the NYC community for 50 years before expanding its footprint in D.C.

The D.C. location of the restaurant opened its doors in 2025. Similar to the New York flagship restaurant, Cafe Fiorello D.C. serves a fine dining experience and authentic Italian cuisine.

Café Fiorello DC, located at 1001 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in Washington, D.C., will permanently close after service on October 28, according to Eater. The report noted that the restaurant’s OpenTable reservation page also confirmed the closure, with no reservations available after October 28.

The Eater report also mentioned that Landry’s Inc. and Ciao Hospitality Group have purchased three Manhattan restaurants, Trattoria dell’ Arte, Fiorello’s, and Bond 45. These restaurants are operated by the Fireman Hospitality Group.

The closures come as Fireman Hospitality Group navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and a sale of several of its Manhattan restaurants.
