Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts has announced its upcoming closure in Los Angeles. The closure follows the expiration of the shop’s lease.

Trejo’s Donuts Sets Final Day for Its Hollywood Shop

Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts is a specialty coffee and donut shop in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The shop is located at 6785 Santa Monica Blvd., near Highland Avenue. It is owned by actor and restaurateur Danny Trejo alongside business partners Ash Shah and Jeff Georgino.

The owners announced its Hollywood location will close on October 29. This is not the end of its run, as the brand plans to return elsewhere. However, it has not announced a new address or opening date.

The shop is known for its colorful storefront, creative donut flavors, and Mexican-inspired treats. The Hollywood shop is the brand’s only location, and the business also offers catering and custom-branded donuts for events and product launches. Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts’ menu highlights include signature varieties like Abuelita, Mangonada, and Cumpleaños.

Customers React to the Closure

Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts’ closure will end the shop’s nearly decade-long run in Hollywood. The news prompted disappointed reactions from longtime customers. Some customers also asked about the brand’s new location.

One customer on Instagram commented, “I used to bring these to work, and folks would say, ‘oooh, who brought the fancy donuts?”

Another customer wrote, “Your margarita donut is truly one of the best donuts in LA. Glad you’ll still be here in some form!”

A customer also wrote, “The pineapple fritter will be definitely missed. Hope you’re not gone for too long.”

Another customer on Instagram wrote, “Got a donut everyday as a mail carrier at the Hollywood location. Can’t wait for the new location.”

While the restaurant is closing, several customers expressed hope that the business would reopen soon.
