Joe & The Juice is planning a new café in downtown West Palm Beach, according to state permit records. The Danish chain, known for its made-to-order juices, specialty coffee and toasted sandwiches, is preparing to open at 206 S. Rosemary Ave. No opening date has been announced.
The new location fits the brand’s push into Palm Beach County. What Now Miami has reported that Joe & The Juice is planning a shop in Delray Beach, described as the first of several planned Palm Beach County locations, and another in downtown Fort Lauderdale, which is expected to open late this year or early next.
Joe & The Juice was founded in Copenhagen in 2002 by Kaspar Basse, a former elite athlete, and started as a single juice bar inside a clothing store. It has grown to more than 500 locations across more than 20 countries, with nearly 100 in the United States and about a dozen in Florida. The U.S. stores are mostly on the East and West Coasts, with others in Chicago and Minneapolis.
The menu includes freshly made juices, smoothies and shakes, coffee, breakfast and toasted sandwiches, including the popular Tunacado. The company’s stores have an energetic, “edgy” feel, with baristas known as “Juicers” who work in an open setting.
West Palm Beach has been a fast-growing food and retail hub in recent years, with new restaurants and shops opening along Rosemary Avenue and the downtown core.
