Altair Sky Lounge is taking cocktails to new heights at Las Vegas’ AREA15. According to the immersive entertainment destination’s website, the new cocktail venue is slated to open this fall or late winter at 3215 S Rancho Dr.
The unique private event and cocktail venue inside AREA15 is built out of a decommissioned Boeing 747 that was previously a large-scale Burning Man art installation. AREA15’s internal studio, led by CEO Winston Fisher, conceived Altair Sky Lounge in partnership with architecture firm Gensler and creative partner Beneville Studios. The space mixes original Boeing 747 cockpit and cabin components with a retro-futurist design.

What Now Las Vegas reached out to Fisher to find out more about the exciting new concept. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Some flights you take. This one takes you,” the AREA15 website reads.
“Altair Sky Lounge was built for intimate private events – libations, ambiance, and rooms for people who notice the details.”
The actual Boeing 747 fuselage originally began its post-aviation life as a massive, iconic art car and interactive installation at the Burning Man festival. The aircraft was relocated to Las Vegas and brought to the AREA15 immersive entertainment district, where it was repurposed as a hospitality and event space. The Jet Room preserves authentic 747 elements while serving as a luxury lounge and alternative venue for groups, corporate functions, and parties.
No word just yet as to what exactly is on the menu. But we’re sure that as we inch closer to opening, more will be revealed. So keep your eyes peeled and your ears perked for the latest.
Altair Sky Lounge is anticipated to open in AREA15 at 3215 S Rancho Dr by this fall or late winter.
