Studio 27 Hair Salon is planning a renovation and transformation at Country Village Plaza in San Antonio, bringing new salon finishes, hair stations and shampoo bowls to its existing space.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the project is located at 15701 San Pedro Ave., San Antonio, TX 78232. The renovation is estimated to cost $125,000 and will cover approximately 3,622 square feet. Construction is scheduled to begin November 2, 2026, with completion expected by January 15, 2027.

The scope of work includes installing new interior finishes, hair stations, and shampoo bowls, while the existing restrooms will remain in place. The project is privately funded and will take place on private property. The filing lists Kuyrkendall Investments LP as the property owner, while Stephen A. Meyer is identified as the registered accessibility specialist.

Studio 27 Hair Salon was founded by Roger Woodard and Asencion Escajeda, who confirmed the ownership and shared details about the upcoming project in a response to WhatNow.

The founders described the work as a significant expansion and transformation intended to elevate the salon experience in San Antonio. The redesigned space will feature thoughtfully planned styling areas, an enhanced shampoo experience, and architectural details reflecting the evolution of the brand.

The vision, according to Woodard and Escajeda, is to create a sophisticated, fashion-forward salon that brings together exceptional hair artistry, advanced education, and a welcoming atmosphere for clients.

The founders also noted that the salon was recently recognized among San Antonio’s top salons, making the project an important next chapter for the business as it continues to grow within the community.

While the TDLR filing provides an estimated construction timeline, the salon has not announced a separate reopening date or provided further details about whether operations will be affected during the work.

With the planned improvements, Studio 27 aims to refresh its existing space while creating an elevated environment for both clients and its salon team.
