Courtyard by Marriott New Braunfels River Village is planning a $500,000 renovation of its public spaces at 750 IH 35 North in New Braunfels, Texas.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the project will cover approximately 13,000 square feet of the existing hotel. Construction is scheduled to begin October 15, 2026, and reach completion by October 15, 2027.

The scope of work includes installing new partitions and relocating electrical power and lighting. The filing classifies the project as a renovation and alteration, with funding provided privately on private property.

The property is part of Courtyard by Marriott, a hotel brand under Marriott International. The brand focuses on accommodations for business and leisure travelers, with modern guest rooms, flexible workspaces, Wi-Fi, and dining options. Its hotels are designed to give guests spaces to work, meet, and relax during their stays.

Located along the Guadalupe River, Courtyard New Braunfels River Village currently offers guest rooms and suites, an on-site Bistro serving breakfast and evening food and drinks, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and meeting facilities. The hotel also provides access to nearby attractions, including the Comal River, Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, and the Gruene Historic District.

The TDLR filing lists New Braunfels Guadalupe River Hotel LP as the property owner and Chicago-based Zimmerman Weitraub Associates as the design firm. The project is listed as having completed the review process.

WhatNow reached out to the hotel for additional information about the renovation but had not received a response at the time of publication. The article will be updated if further details become available.

The filing does not specify whether the renovation will require temporary closures or changes to hotel operations. It also does not indicate that the project will add guest rooms or expand the hotel’s footprint.

The listed construction dates are project estimates and do not establish a separate reopening date.
