HomeGoods is preparing to expand its presence in the Triad with a new store at 274 Eastchester Drive in High Point. The Massachusetts-based retailer has signed a 10-year lease for the property, near a First Watch restaurant currently under development, as reported by the Triad Business Journal.

The new store will occupy a space at Peters Plaza that was previously home to Office Depot. The former office supply retailer vacated the property about a year ago, leaving an anchor space available for another tenant, according to the Triad Business Journal. The publication also reported that the High Point location will become HomeGoods’ fourth store in the Triad, joining existing locations in Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Burlington.

According to HomeGoods’ official website, the retailer offers an assortment of home furnishings and decorative merchandise, including furniture, bedding, rugs, lighting, kitchen and dining products, wall art, mirrors, bathroom accessories and storage solutions. Its merchandise selection also includes seasonal decorations, floral arrangements, pet products and gourmet food items. The company describes its shopping experience as an ever-changing selection of finds, giving customers new merchandise to discover during each visit.

HomeGoods operates under The TJX Companies, alongside retail brands including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Homesense and Sierra. According to the parent company’s website, its business focuses on offering brand-name and designer merchandise at off-price values.

The High Point lease adds another retail destination to the Eastchester Drive corridor. Although the 10-year agreement secures the space for HomeGoods, an opening date has not yet been announced, according to the Triad Business Journal.
