Osteria Pizzeria is preparing to reopen in Columbus‘ Olde Towne East neighborhood after sustaining significant roof damage during summer storms.
The family-owned pizzeria, located at 892 Oak St., Columbus, OH 43206, recently shared an update on social media indicating that it is nearing its reopening. In the post, the restaurant told customers, “We’re almost ready to reopen. Stay tuned for the official date.”
Osteria Pizzeria has been closed for renovations since August, when severe storms damaged several buildings in Olde Towne East, including the restaurant. In an August 15 social media update, the business explained that multiple roofs in the neighborhood had been torn off, leaving its building in need of inspection to determine whether it was structurally sound.
The restaurant initially said it hoped to have an update the following week but noted that the inspection process could take longer.
Known for its pizza, Osteria Pizzeria also serves fresh salads and pasta, with gluten-free options available. Its menu offers customers a neighborhood dining option centered on Italian-inspired dishes.
Although the restaurant has indicated that it is almost ready to welcome customers back, an official reopening date has not yet been announced.
WhatNow will continue to follow the restaurant’s progress and update this article as more information becomes available.
