The international burger franchise is taking the last available space in the Shops at Metropolis.

Burgerim is moving forward with plans to open its first Georgia store in Midtown.

A building permit application Friday was filed with City of Atlanta to buildout the international burger franchise in the Shops at Metropolis, the ground-level retail portion of the Metropolis condominium building.

An estimated $350,000 could be spent building out the 2,293-square-foot burger joint, according to the official plans.

Devenchie Battle, the Atlanta franchisee, told What Now Atlanta earlier this year the footprint is larger than most other locations to “accommodate live music.”

Including the Midtown Location, Burgerim has 43 new outposts slated to open across the United States this year, according to the concept’s website.

Burgerim joins Blue India (opening soon), Fado, Jimmy John’s, Newk’s, Metro Cleaners, Taco Mac, Orange Theory Fitness, Sweet Hut, UPS Store, and Van Michael Salon, in Shops at Metroplis.

With the addition of the restaurant, Shops is “fully leased.”
