Ebrik Coffee Room is looking to expand its downtown location by upwards of 6,000 square feet. Preliminary plans late last week were filed with City of Atlanta for the expansion.

Abbas Arman, co-owner of Ebrik Coffee Room, Monday confirmed the news in a telephone conversation with What Now Atlanta.

Ebrik Coffee Room, at 16 Park Place SE, would expand into the corner portion of the now-shuttered Cutting Edge Beauty School at 10 Park Place SE, one-third of the available space, according to Arman.

An estimated $125,000 could be spent on the buildout, according to the official permit filing, but Arman said exact plans, including an opening timeline, are still in the works.

The additional space, which would include a newly-built mezzanine level, would provide seating to accommodate corporate and student customers looking for meeting space.

Ebrik Coffee Room in March opened a Decatur outpost, at 309 E College Avenue.
