Mandolin is slated to open fall 2017.

Space belonging to Maya, the Sandy Springs steakhouse that closed its doors June 3, won’t sit dark for long.

Mandolin, a Mediterranean Concept from Okan Ozyurteri (formerly of Instanblue Buckhead), will open in the restaurant’s place, according to Driss Senhaji of Atlanta Business Brokers.

Senhaji sold the Maya space to Ozyurteri June 2, the restaurant broker in an email earlier this month told What Now Atlanta (WNA).

“Ozyurteri is opening a new concept in the former Maya space called Mandolin and it’s going to be a Greek, Turkish restaurant and bar,” Senhaji said.

Ozyurteri, who is associated with several other restaurants around town including Lavash Mediterranean Grill and Cabo Cantina, did not immediately return WNA’s request for comment.
